Alan Knuckman hails from the home of commodity trading in Chicago, where he began working as a clerk on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).

He learned the ropes on the floor in the grains for a measly $2.85 per hour. He fondly refers to that position as a "glorified trash picker" -- where he would pick up the trade cards after the trades were made so the clearing house could settle the books each day. It may not seem like the most important job, but if you wanted to trade commodities, you had to work your way up -- even if that meant picking up after other traders.

Beginning with his days on the floor, Alan's worked with all aspects of the commodity markets for the past 18 years. Transitioning from a clerk to a floor trader has given him an inside view of the markets that normal investors don't have. It's also given him a sound trading edge to profit in all market conditions.

After working directly for the markets on the trading floor, Alan managed accounts at a brokerage firm in California -- where he also helped thousands of clients learn the ins and outs of the markets. From there, his drive to make profits for his clients propelled him to his next position, where he developed his own trading platform to make traders more disciplined and able to control risks better.

Combining his floor insight with some technical trading parameters gave his system very profitable advantages -- but one of the major aspects that he preached with his trading platform was money management.

Along with trading experience Alan brings with him great discipline. And working with Alan the past few months, I've seen diligence in trading that matches that of RTA's.
