Agora Financial Reserve - Discount Rates --------------------------- From a 24-hour Internet café somewhere in Kuala Lumpur, Joel Bowman reports
The murmur from the Thai university group on the bus from the airport to Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpar, grew softer as we veered across lanes, towards the side-guards of the highway. Our bus chugged and sputtered to a foggy halt on the road's shoulder and plumes of thick purple smoke billowed from the engine. Once the air conditioning shut down the full impact of the humidity set in and the students sighed as if this were an all too regular occurrence. We had been due to arrive in KL before noon, plenty of time to settle in and find our bearings
now, in the thick heat of the day, the last 20-miles might as well have been a thousand. With mumbles of resignation we filed off the bus and waited for a replacement vehicle to come.
Needless to say we did not arrive with a comfortable amount of time to find a room and we did not relax with a Singapore Sling and picturesque KL sunset. That will have to wait for tomorrow. Right now, we have a perfect excuse for a late might meandering and will leave you to get straight into the week's Rude reading.
